Thank you Amitabh sir for this great show. I want to share story of my hero. My hero is my father - Mr. Dharmendra kumar Jain He is treating the stone from about 18 - 20 years. He is providing free treatment (nishulk ilaaj) for stone so that every needy person could get rid of stone. Due to this free treatment about 20- 25 thousand of people got the permanent treatment of stone. although is not doctor but by blessings is the legend. ReplyDeleteIn a time when inflation-hit green veggies and fruit are disappearing from the platter of the common man, Mohit Shah and his family provide the daily dose of nutrition and vitamins for free to those who can’t afford them. The 54-year-old stands out in the crowd instantly while distributing the costly green component of a healthy diet on busy roads and market places in Ahmedabad. Shah, who lives in Navrangpura, has the dealership of a leading cement company.
The idea of distribution came from his wife Kinnariben, 53, who once witnessed a group of labourers staring at her while she was buying vegetables. During interaction, she came to know that they were deprived of the vegetables as they could not afford them. She gave them the stuff she had bought for the family and discussed the episode with her husband. “My wife shared with me her idea of distributing veggies free to the needy. By God’s grace, we can afford to give some vegetables to the poor for free. We started with 200 kg of vegetables initially which has now reached to 1,500 kg a week,” says Shah whose initiative has turned six this year.
The couple buys vegetables from Jamalpur market and roam in Nehrunagar, Shivranjani, Jivraj Park, Vejalpur, Gujarat University, Thaltej gaam, Vastrapur and Drive-in Road areas for free distribution. On expenditure, the businessman says, “I buy vegetables worth Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 every day and distribute them thrice a week. We used to incur transportation cost. However, when the farmers learnt of our endeavour, they stopped charging us the transportation cost. This helps us buy more vegetables with the same money.” On the day of distribution, Shah reaches Jamalpur market in the wee hours to buy farm fresh veggies from the farmers.
His son Kushal, 24, and daughter Aashka, 21, are equally engaged in the activity. “I want the word to spread as I can’t visit all areas. If other people get inspired by it, we can cover entire Ahmedabad. We never say no to anyone. Our aim is to give vegetables to the poor, but if anyone on road approaches us, we don’t say no,” says Shah who is often seen on the Shivranjini-Helmet Circle stretch distributing the vegetables. As Shah came to know that papad is favourite among the poor, he has started distributing it along with cabbage, bottle gourd, tomato, cauliflower, carrot, radish, sugarcane, sweet lime, grapes and muskmelon.
They now plan to distribute mangoes. Shah donates in charity at least as much as he spends on his family annually. “We do not seek donation from people. Those who wish to distribute can do so in their own way in their own areas,” says Shah. Shah spends about Rs 10 lakh on vegetables and fruit for others while his total donation goes up to Rs 25 lakh annually.
He also helps needy students by paying their fee and buying them books. He often bears medical expenses of the poor and also provide food grain to families which hardly have income. “I want to help people in whatever way I can. The almighty has blessed me by giving me an opportunity to make others’ lives better,” Shah says.

એક સાવ સામાન્ય સ્થિતીના ભાઇ સુરેન્દ્રનગર એસ.ટી.ડેપોમાં કંડકટર તરીકે ફરજ બજાવી રહ્યા છે. મર્યાદિત આવક અને બે દિકરા તથા એક દિકરીની જવાબદારી. આવી પરિસ્થિતીમાં પણ એમણે શરુ કરેલી એક સેવાની નાની પણ પ્રેરણાદાયી પ્રવૃતિથી પરિચિત થવા જેવુ છે.
સુરેન્દ્રનગર – અમદાવાદ રૂટની બસમાં કંડકટર તરીકેની એમની ફરજ. બપોરના 1 વાગે સુરેન્દ્રનગરથી બસ રવાના થાય અને સાંજે 7 વાગે પરત આવે. એકવાર ઉનાળામાં બસમાં બેઠા બેઠા જ એમને વિચાર આવ્યો કે મને આ આકરા તાપમાં તરસ લાગે છે તો આ બસના મુસાફરોને પણ તરસ લાગતી જ હશે. એમા પણ નાના બાળકોને તો પાણીની પ્યાસ વધુ હેરાન કરતી હશે. મારે આ મુસાફરો માટે કંઇક કરવુ છે.
એમણે એક નાનું સિન્ટેક્ષનું આઇસબોક્ષ ખરીદ્યુ. થોડી પાણીની બોટલ પણ ખરીદી. બસ ઉપડવાની હોય એ પહેલા પાણીની બોટલ ભરીને પેલા આઇસ બોક્ષમાં ગોઠવી દે અને 10 રૂપિયાનો બરફ વેંચાતો લઇને બોટલની ઉપર બરફ રાખી દે જેથી પાણી ઠંડુ રહે. અમદાવાદથી પાછા આવતી વખતે પણ એ જ રીતે પાણીની બોટલો ભરીને રાખે અને 10 રૂપિયાનો બરફ પણ નાંખે.
બસ ઉપડે એટલે બધાની ટીકીટ કાપી લે પછી ફ્રી થઇને બસના બધા મુસાફરોને ઠંડુ પાણી પાવા નીકળે. નાના બાળકોને પાણી પીવામાં તકલીફ ન પડે એટલે સાથે નાની પ્યાલી પણ રાખે અને બાળકને આ પ્યાલીમાં પાણી ભરીને આપે જેથી એને પાણી પીવામાં સરળતા રહે. સરકારે આ માટે ક્યારેય એને વધારાનો કોઇ પગાર નથી આપ્યો કે એની સેવાને બીરદાવતો એક પત્ર પણ નથી લખ્યો અને છતાય આ માણસ એ જ ઉત્સાહ સાથે છેલ્લા 12 વર્ષથી દર ઉનાળામાં અનેક મુસાફરોના પેટ ઠારવાનું કામ કરે છે.
વઢવાણમાં રહેતા હનિફભાઇ બેલીમની આ નિસ્વાર્થ સેવાભાવનાને કોટી કોટી વંદન.

I realized the opportunity provided by social networking sites and I formed a group on Whatsapp on 20th March'15 of around 85 people from various locations across India and Abroad with the name Divine Light. I started teaching meditation to them which helped them and we slowly & steadily grew strong as a group and this year we launched a Divine Service- Phool (flower), which is a quarterly service to serve old age people & Orphan Kids.
With the Divine Grace, we could execute our Divine Service this Diwali & Children's Day in Ludhiana & Delhi with Old Age Home & Orphan Kids respectively. Total 35 members celebrated Diwali with 70+ Old age people in Ludhiana by distributing food, shawls, singing songs, dancing etc. and we celebrated Children's day in Delhi with 350 orphan kids by distributing food, chocolates, fruitees and study material.
The experience was entirely overwhelming & each one of us experienced the divinity & joy of sharing. Now, we have made it a permanent service which shall be performed thrice a year for serving the causes. Now, we have added more people to join us in our divine service and we have 200+ members to perform this service in Ludhiana, Delhi, Rajasthan, UP, Kolkata & Gujarat.
Apart from that we meditate together on every full moon for world peace.

My mother’s name is Payal Sinha. She was born and brought up in Kanpur. Coming from a family of 7 children with no father, her childhood has not been easy.

ReplyDeleteछोटे स्तर पर पर्यावरण को बचाने और भोजन इकठ्ठा करने के लिए अन्नक्षेत्र की ओर से “घर-घर अन्नक्षेत्र” कार्यक्रम भी चलाया जाता है, जिसके तहत संस्था की ओर से शहर की कॉलोनियों में एक रेफ्रिजरेटर रखा जाता है, जिसमें आस-पास के लोग अपने घर में बचे हुए खाद्य पदार्थों को श्रमिक वर्ग के लोगों के लिए रख सके ।
इसके साथ ही स्कूलों के जरिये बच्चों में शुद्ध पर्यावरण के महत्व को समझाने, इसको बचाये रखने के लिए और उनमें जागरुकता बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से “टिफिन अन्नक्षेत्र” भी काम करता है । संस्था 5 साल के दौरान अब तक 13 लाख से अधिक व्यक्तियों को भोजन खिला चुकी है और सिलसिला अनवरत जारी है । त्योहारों पर मिठाई, केक और अन्य खाद्य पदार्थों की होने वाली बर्बादी को रोकने के लिए अन्नक्षेत्र ने उत्सव अन्नक्षेत्र के नाम से भी एक मुहिम चला रखी है । “दिवाली की मीठी मुस्कान” के नाम से इस दिवाली शुरु हुई इस मुहिम को लोगों का अपार समर्थन मिला । मुहिम का मकसद दिवाली पर होने वाली मिठाईयों की बर्बादी को रोककर पर्यावरण को बचाना था । इस मुहिम में संस्था को एक हजार किलो मिठाई और करीब सौ किलो नमकीन मिली जिसे श्रमिक लोगों तक पहुंचाया गया ।
5 साल के दौरान संस्था ने हजारों टन भोजन को कूड़े के ढ़ेर में जाने से रोका । अगर ये भोजन किसी के पेट मे ना जाकर कूड़े में फेंकने में जाता तो इससे लाखों कार्बन फुट प्रिन्ट्स बनते जो अंत में हवा में घुलकर पर्यावरण को प्रदूषित करते । इस तरह “अन्नक्षेत्र फाउंडेशन ट्रस्ट” ने भोजन की बर्बादी से होने वाले पर्यावरण प्रदूषण को रोककर पर्यावरण को बचाने की दिशा में कारगर भूमिका निभाई ।
